For the last 4 weeks we looked at what it is to pursue unity.
Was there a story, Scripture, phrase, or challenge that stayed with you throughout the weeks?
The main points from my message this week were:
- What God is building is bigger than you or me
- It’s about the health of the larger body
- It Takes all of us
- A Healthy body is the result of healthy parts
- We have Work to do
- Health doesn’t just happen.
- It takes intension
The main passages were:
Ephesians 4:1–6
Cor 12:12-27
- What God is building is bigger than you or me.

I shared about comparison leading to competition and criticism. How do you see that pattern playing out in the world, the Church, or even in your own life?
How does comparison distort the way we see ourselves or other people?
Why is it good to remember that what God is building is bigger than any one part or person?
- It Takes All of Us

In the movie illustration, the players had to move beyond representing themselves to representing something bigger. And they had to go through hard times until they came to this place in their hearts and minds.
What does this look like in… your life…our church…our city?
How can Christians “compete with” and “compete for” one another instead of against one another?
“Who do you play for?”
- We have Work to do
Read Ephesians 4:3
The message ended with three action steps: Check your heart, check your head, and check your hands.

Which one do you feel most challenged by right now?
Is there a relationship, church, leader, or group of people God may be asking you to see differently, pray for, encourage, or pursue in a practical way?
We are meeting together on the 21st to seek God together on behalf of our churches and city.
What is your personal prayer for this time?
What do you sense God might be doing in our city?
Pray toward that right now and show up expectantly on the 21st!
Lastly please pray for me (JJ) and the other pastors that God would protect our friendship with one another and that we would continue to have each other's backs and champion each other in our unique giftings toward our common calling.
